S2 Webpress is a unique web service provided by me – Steven Slack from Asheville, North Carolina. I began my dive into the matrix of the web world in 2007 while creating a website for the non-profit Mundo Real. While in Brazil as a volunteer in Rio de Janeiros largest urban slum I began my education in web development. Since that time I have been growing my skills, learning new tricks, and working hard to make my clients satisfied.I began seeing needs all around me in peoples interaction with technology – being a tech savvy person, I knew I could lend a hand. By providing my services to non-profits, businesses, and individuals I feel that I am essentially playing an important role in helping people, improving business, and aiding non-profits in making positive change within their communities.
In addition to web development I am also involved with a 501(c)(3) non-profit called Mundo Real which currently works in the urban slums of Rio de Janeiro in the area of research, education, and direct services. I have also worked with JAG construction building small green-homes in the Asheville area.
When I am not in front of the computer I enjoy riding my bike, exploring Western North Carolina’s beautiful wilderness, great music, the company of my wonderful friends and the joy of my community.
